My name is Lori Hansen.  I am a work at home wife born and raised in south central Iowa in a very creative, outdoor, and natural family.  Over the years I have dabbled in drawing (charcoal and pencil), painting, pottery, photography, wood burning, soap making, quilting, and of course, gourd art.

I am a simple person who enjoys life's simple pleasures.  In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors, photography, hiking, gardening, cooking, camping, fishing, and kayaking.  I raise Bloodhounds (Hansen Hounds) and my sister an I own and operate an organic garlic seed farm (2 Sisters Garlic).  We certainly stay busy at the Hansen Homestead!

I took a gourd making class several years ago and have been hooked since, gifting most of my creations to friends and family.  I have also taught classes in basic gourd making and pine needle coiling.
